PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Does Healthcare Have a Problem?

Healthcare is complex, confusing and expensive.  In this presentation, we will explore if American healthcare has a problem, talk through solutions and equip you for the next steps.

  • Understand the Complexity of U.S. Healthcare
  • Identify Key Challenges in the U.S. Healthcare System
  • Explore Potential Solutions for Healthcare Reform
  • Develop Actionable Next Steps for clients

The "Code of Business Conduct" - the Team Play Driver for Achieving Your Ultimate Success

Team play is critical to the success of every Company and Family Office.  The Code of Business Conduct is the key driver for creating highly functioning teams which help to ensure this success. This program will show you how to design or enhance a Code of Business Conduct, which every Financial Advisor can quickly deploy in your own financial firm or as a high “value add” for the services you provide to your Company and Family Office Clients.  The program will cover:

  • How to develop client advisory teams to become the go-to source for the continued success of your clients’ companies and family offices.
  • How to implement a Code of Business Conduct for your own firm as well as for your clients’ companies and family offices.
  • How to begin now to see what business you are really in and what this means for you starting tomorrow.

Ethics in Action: Trust, Technology and Transparency

The afternoon program will provide three hours of ethics credit for Insurance (NE & IA), CLE Legal (NE), CPE Accounting, and Professional Recertification (formerly PACE), pending approvals.  It also will provide 3 hours of GENERAL CFP® credit (pending approval) – but is NOT approved for CFP ETHICS credit.  The FPA of Nebraska will offer a two-hour CFP ETHICS course as part of our March 2025 meeting, date TBA.

This program delves into the complex intersections of ethics, compliance, and regulation in today’s evolving insurance and financial services business landscape, with a special focus on the responsible integration of AI. Through engaging discussions, real-world case studies, and interactive exercises, participants will gain a clear understanding of key ethical definitions and perspectives, analyze professional codes of ethics, and explore ethical decision-making models that foster trust and accountability. The program also addresses the ethical implications and regulatory trends surrounding AI, encouraging participants to reflect on biases, risks, and responsibilities. Attendees will leave with practical insights and strategies for navigating ethical dilemmas, enhancing professional integrity, and preparing for the future of AI in business.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be in a stronger position to:

  • Differentiate between ethics, compliance, regulation, and the ethical implications of AI use, establishing a clear understanding of these key terms in their professional practice.
  • Utilize ethical decision-making frameworks to build trust, enhance client relationships, and navigate complex situations involving competing interests and challenging behaviors.
  • Develop strategies for responsible AI use in their practices.
