PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Cybersecurity in a Changing World

This presentation introduces business professionals, financial advisors, legal practitioners, and insurance agents to the realities of today’s rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape. Using real-life scenarios and clear, accessible best practices, the session emphasizes practical steps for protecting data, minimizing risk, and fostering security awareness across organizations.  Participants will leave with actionable insights into current and emerging cybersecurity threats, and the basic defense strategies that can significantly reduce vulnerability—regardless of industry.

Small Cap Market Update

This session offers a timely and strategic look at small cap equities and their role in diversified portfolios. “Small Cap Market Update” explores the recent relative underperformance of small caps globally and examines key macroeconomic influences such as economic cycles, interest rates, and private equity activity. Attendees will also gain insight into Dimensional’s definition of small cap, the firm’s research-driven approach to capturing the small cap premium, and how thoughtful exclusions can enhance expected returns.  This session is designed to help financial professionals, legal fiduciaries, and business leaders better understand small cap investing and its long-term implications on portfolio strategy and risk management.

Core Conundrum

The fixed income landscape has evolved significantly, challenging the relevance and effectiveness of traditional "core" bond strategies. In "Core Conundrum," participants will explore how fixed income benchmarks have become overly concentrated in low-yielding government and agency securities, limiting their effectiveness in today’s market. The session will highlight Guggenheim’s analysis of interest rate and credit spread dynamics, discuss the role of structured credit in asset allocation, and review historical return patterns across fixed income sectors during Federal Reserve rate pause and cut cycles.  Attendees will leave with an enhanced understanding of how to navigate a broader opportunity set in fixed income while balancing risk and return in a rising-rate, volatile market environment.

The Importance of Ethics in an Unethical World

In today’s complex and fast-changing financial landscape, ethical decision-making is more vital than ever. The Importance of Ethics in an Unethical World explores how insurance and financial professionals can uphold integrity, transparency, and trust in every client interaction. Through interactive discussions, real-world case studies, and exploration of timely issues—such as social responsibility, ESG practices, and emerging technologies like AI—participants will gain the tools to navigate gray areas and make values-based choices that strengthen both their business and the industry.
