This presentation will explore the current cyber data environment. The program will focus on how access, use, retention, profit, storage and destruction of data, both personal identifiable information and data in general impacts the financial industry. We will also explore how the infusion of data into underwriting algorithims and the future of this practice will impact all stakeholders.

Laurie VanderWal is a state licensed insurance agent and insurance consultant as well as being a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist. She has been writing insurance curriculum and teaching local and national audiences since 2009. She is passionate about teaching professionals the need for protecting personal information. Laurie has received a Small Business of the Year Award from the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. She loves writing curriculum, teaching and training both business professionals and consumers.
