Choice and Consequences – An Ethics Program Like No Other! Jerome Mayne
Vulnerabilities exist for everyone in today’s business world. While checklists, policies and fraud prevention technologies are invaluable, they do not account for the human factor. Following policies and procedures, and completing checklists isn’t enough. Side- stepping one’s instinct to inquire and investigate is a product of ethical complacency, indecision, and the lack of confidence in making tough choices in difficult situations. These actions lead to a lack of trust of an industry, a tarnished reputation of a company and the complete psychological collapse and loss of freedom of good people.
Jerome’s intimate story will help you identify your vulnerabilities. You'll take away all the lessons you need to make the best decisions in impossible situations and save everything you’ve worked for.
For over 2 years his name was Federal Inmate Number 08657-041. Before that, Jerome Mayne was the founder and CEO of two corporations, respected in the financial community and the father of two young boys. In 1999 he received a 21-month prison sentence for conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud and money laundering – crimes that took place four years earlier. On November 4th, 1999, he reported to the Federal Prison in Yankton, South Dakota and his career and his life were changed forever.
For the past 15 years Jerome has been speaking on fraud and ethics for associations and Fortune 500 companies in Canada, Mexico and the United States. He has appeared on numerous panels, radio shows and web-cast productions as a self-taught expert on fraudulent behavior. He is the author of the book Diary of a White Collar Criminal.
